Happy Halloween

From Bob the Builder and the little pumpkin.
Elijah woke up from his nap being a grump-a-lump but finally cheered up at the very end of trick-or-treating time so we were able to go out for a few minutes before it started to rain.
Checking out his loot. Our Jack-O-Lantern that we carved
Blowing out the candle.

Heading home

We were actually discharged yesterday and night #1 went pretty good. Elijah is so far adjusting to having Nathaniel around. He asks several times to hold baby. We were basing the size of Nathaniel on how big Elijah was when he was born. Well since Nathaniel is about 1 1/2 lbs lighter than Elijah at birth we have some clothes shopping to do! Just about all the clothes we have for him are quite big.
Elijah turned the baby carrier into a tv seat last night.

Introducing Nathaniel Scott Howe -10-22-2009

I don't generally write the posts, but since Madelyn is resting I wanted to give everyone a glimpse at our newest little Howe. He arrived just after 10 pm, Thursday night. (In Man time - 7th inning of Yankees -Angels Series) :o)
The nurses were once again amazed by the fact that Madelyn's pain tolerance is UNBELIEVABLE! When I arrived home last night she was cooking and cleaning at 7:30pm. (Even though she was less than 3 hours away from giving birth!)

No screaming - No Epidural - a 1 - 2 - 3 - push and baby Nathaniel was born. I was watching/ timing the contractions and they were coming hard and fast. I give Madelyn all the credit in the world. I complain when I have a paper cut!

To Madelyn: Once again you have given us a Beautiful Baby Boy!
I Love You with All my heart!!

Pumpkin painting

This morning Elijah did some pumpkin painting.

Little Dare Devil

Yesterday afternoon was beautiful so we headed down to the park for a bit. Elijah played on his normal playground, then we went over to the playground that is the next step up. That is where he marched right up to this tall slide and went right down without any care.
A few more pictures from the afternoon.

Finishing Touches

Handy Man Jim made his first shelf yesterday. I must say he did pretty good! It's for above the dresser in the baby's room. We picked up the sail boat and picture frame during an impromptu trip to Ocean City a few days ago. Now the nursery is done (well we're still waiting for a picture to put in the picture frame)! We just need the little guy to arrive!

Bob the Builder - The Phillies Phan

Yesterday was the playgroup Halloween party. Elijah wanted to wear his 'Ball Hat' rather than his Bob the Builder gear.
Every single time we have a party at this place it rains, so we filled the day with some other activities. Here's Elijah playing Pin the Nose on the Jack-O-Lantern.

Early Halloween

Today Elijah had a Halloween party to go to. It was the first time he was in full Bob the builder gear. Here's Bob driving a Barbie Jeep.
Picking a pumpkin to decorate.
Playing in the Bouncy house. He didn't want to take off the costume!
