Trick or Treat

Elijah's costume this year for Halloween is Darth Vader. Here he is before we went to the Deptford mall for some trick or treating with the playgroup. (there's a little black hood that goes with the costume but he refuses to keep it on)

Phinally!

A big congratulations to the Philadelphia Phillies who won the World Series for the first time in 28 years. Sadly all of Elijah's Philly gear is too small for him now, so I'm going into the archives for a pic.

Elijah's new title

Many already know but for those who don't - we found out last week that we're expecting baby #2! My first dr's appt isn't until Nov 10th so I don't have an official due date yet, but right now the online sites are saying June 26th. We'll have 2 under 2 for a few weeks. :)

Boo!

Tomorrow we're having a Halloween Party for the playgroup so made a bunch of cupcakes (over 50!) today to take. I found these ghost cupcakes online so I had to make them. They're Nutter Butter cookies covered with icing then stuck into a frosted cupcake. Some of them look more like monsters haha. The other cupcakes I made were pretty plain - just sprinkles and candy corn.

The past weekend

Over the past weekend we headed up to Williamsport to celebrate Cheyenne's 3rd birthday. Elijah enjoyed exploring in Grammy and Pappy's backyard - especially once he found the trailer with lots of sticks.

He loved pushing around the stroller at Cheyenne and Sierra's house.
Happy Birthday Cheyenne!

15 months

Today Elijah turns 15 months old! This past week was a week full of developments for him. His new word is Hot. And he actually used it in the right context. The other morning when I sat down at the table with my oatmeal that was obviously very hot because you could see the steam and Elijah pointed to it and said Hot. He also almost does the sign for sleep. When it gets to be naptime/bedtime he'll tilt his head to the side. A few times he has referred to Charlie as War-rie

He's becoming a little helper around the house. He likes to hand me the clothes that needs to be folded. He tries to sweep (I need to find him a little broom). He also throws his own diapers away. One day he will make some girl very happy!

He is total boy. He loves to climb. Loves to get dirty. He can also maneuver throw the equipment very quick at playgrounds and often times tries to keep up with the big boys.

He's definitely an outdoor boy and I'm dreading the cold weather when we'll be stuck inside!

Today I took advantage of a BOGO for the Discovery Museum in Cherry Hill. It was nice for about an hr or so then a school field trip came and it was mass chaos with older kids running around. Elijah seemed to have a good time though and it wore him out which means it will be a nice nap day. Here are a few pics from today.

What will Elijah's career be when he is older:
A News Anchor
A Doctor
Or a Construction worker

Maybe a chauffer
A telemarketer
a car salesman
or a husband who knows how to sit in the passenger seat and be quiet while the wife drives lol
maybe a restaurant owner
a short line cook
or a surgeon

It's the Great Pumpkin

We decided to take advantage of the absolutely gorgeous day today and headed to Johnson's Farm to pick a pumpkin. Elijah had a great time trying to climb on the pumpkins and walking around the corn stalks. I took waaaaaay to many pictures to just post individually so here's a link to more: http://picasaweb.google.com/madelyn.howe/PumpkinPicking02#

Pony Ride

Today we stopped by the Deptford Library Yard Sale and Fun Day. There were free pony rides so Elijah had his first pony ride.

By the 2nd time around the circle he was done with it and ready to get down.

A walk in the park

Hmm... I wonder if I can climb my way to the topWhat mom? You don't want me to?
Fine I'll find some other kind of trouble to get into
A stick. A walk is just not complete without carrying a stick.
