King of the Remote

Saturday night Elijah wasn't feeling the best (we think it was some teething issue). After an early bath and some Tylenol I brought some pillows out to the living room where he enjoyed rolling around and lounging. He had fun playing king of the remote that night until bedtime. He looks like such a typical male in these pictures.

Step by Step

Today was the day. This evening we had to make a trip to Wal-Mart (God bless us) and when we got home Elijah took his first steps. The great thing is that Jim actually got to see it. Elijah was so proud of himself he sat down and started clapping. So yay!

Elijah and I went to the zoo again today with some of our playgroup friends. We found out there's a members only play area so we enjoyed that for a bit. Here is is playing in a big egg.

It was a long day. Fast asleep at the zebras.

Party Time

Here are some birthday pictures. We did the Animal Theme to carry over our trip to the zoo. Elijah's cake was inspired by Martha Stewart.

The guests had monkey and lion cupcakes.

Elijah enjoyed licking the beaters while making the cakes. No need to worry - there were no eggs involved. Just Cake Mix and a can of pumpkin.

The birthday boy getting ready to open some presents.After the cake and right before his meltdown. It's hard to tell by all the icing on his face, but he barely had a bite of the cake. He just had fun playing with the icing and digging his spoon into the cake.

Philadelphia Zoo

Today we went to the Philadelphia Zoo as part of Elijah's birthday celebration. We bought a membership so you're going to be seeing many pictures of zoo trips in the next year! Elijah's Grammy and Pappy Mileto and Aunt Kristi and Uncle Steve joined us. We all survived the heat and humidity and had a great time. Here are a few pics and to see more click here

Happy Birthday Elijah!
