Washington Lake Park

Today Elijah and I didn't have anything going on so after his afternoon nap we headed over to Washington Lake Park for a walk. It's a nice little place ... we're going to have to go back on a weekend to walk the trails with Jim and sans stroller.

We got to see little baby geese! There were at least 15 of them.
It was so much easier to take his picture before he started crawling. Here he is trying to push the stroller around.
Sitting on the dock of the lake ...

My favorite pic of the day

without the boo boo

Strolling the boardwalk

Elijah found a new use for the stroller today while at Ocean City. He insisted on using it as a walker.
"Hold on a second mommy ... let me make sure the break is off"
Elijah also rode the carousel for the first time today! He loved it ...

He was all smiles ...

until the very end.

First boo boo

Elijah thought he would be daring and clap his hands while walking with his walker outside today. The result was that he fell and skinned his little nose on the concrete. After some kisses from mommy and a quick clean up he was good to go.

What happens when I turn my back

to brush my teeth.

Ta-Da

So we actually finished a project around the house! (well almost we ran out of bricks to make a step up to the stoop area but we'll do that next weekend along with some landscaping once we decide what we want to put there)

When we first bought the house:
The in between look (with the bricks)
What it looks like now
(there's going to be a wrap-around step going up to the stoop area ... that's what we need to buy bricks for) We also bought a wooden bench at AC Moore today that we need to stain and put together.

Sick Boy

Elijah woke up Wednesday night with a super snotty nose and a temperature of 100.9. After a dosage of Tylenol and and some pats with a cool wet washcloth his temp started going down and he woke up without a temperature still was still a snotty little boy. Today he's not as congested and is looking a little better. He looks very pathetic as a sick boy.

Finger Painting and Big Boy Swings

Yesterday I thought we'd have a little fun and do some finger painting. Elijah was more interested in the bottles but he did complete a few paintings.
Today the playgroup met at different park and we had a lot of fun. Elijah crawled around on the equipment.
He even got to ride on the bigger boy swings!

Mr. Mischief

(This was completely unposed ... notice how Elijah looks just like the face on his shirt)We had a Mother's Day Picnic today for the playgroup. The park location was rained out so we met at a play place. Elijah got to play with his buddy Joey.
(Hard to believe they're only 1 1/2 months apart huh haha)

Two ...Two Toofers ... ha ha ha

That is what The Count would say if he looked into Elijah's mouth. Yes his second tooth cut through last night during his bath. Made for a fun bath with daddy!

And a few pics from today.
Walking for the first time outside
Practicing for his Baby American Idol audition.

Visit with Grammy and Pappy

Elijah was able to show his Grammy and Pappy the boardwalk at Ocean City this past weekend. He's quite the tour guide. He's so good he can even do it with his eyes closed.
After lunch at Three Brothers Pizza everyone walked the boardwalk (well Elijah was pushed).

Hayrides and Spinach Picking

Today we had a playgroup activity at Johnson's Corner Market and had a whole lot of fun. We really lucked out with the beautiful weather since all week hasn't been the best. Elijah got to go on his first hayride, a tour of the farm!
We stopped to pick some spinach to plant in our garden this year.
Elijah really liked the sand/soil.
After the hayride we went to the Discovery Barn area where they have animals to feed and playground equipment.
There were cute little baby goats!

Elijah had fun looking at all the animals.

And playing in the playground.

But most of all he enjoyed eating mommy's ice cream.
