Just uploaded some pictures from over the weekend.

I decided to make homemade pasta and meatballs for our Christmas Day dinner. I was proud of myself that they actually turned out pretty good.

Here's a house in Glendora. I just had to take a picture. Definitely a very festive house. :)

O Christmas Tree O Christmas Tree

Here is our 2008 Christmas Tree. Next year we'll be going out to cut it down ourselves. This year we just ran out of time. I think this was taken before the tree fell over and we had to redecorate it again.

Meeting Santa

Jim and I took Elijah to see Santa today. Nothing like taking him at the peak of stranger anxiety haha. As soon as he sat down he started crying. Of course being the stellar parents that we are, we had to choose the picture of him crying over the 1 or 2 regular pictures that they had.

Sad News

For those of our faithful blog followers who haven't heard yet - we ended up losing baby #2 yesterday. We now have a beautiful angel watching over us.

Future baker/cook

Is what I think we have on our hands. Whenever I'm in the kitchen, Elijah pulls the chair from the dining room into the kitchen so he can help me. Last week we made cookies for the playgroup Holiday party and a chocolate chip cake for Grandpa Howe and Uncle Steven's birthdays. Here he is helping with the cake:

The kitchen cabinet reveal

Finally the kitchen cabinets are painted (well they've been done for a few weeks, I just haven't taken any pictures)! We (as in Jim doing all the work and me adding my two cents) also installed a new microwave, which I got free thanks to freecycle!

Just to remind you of the UGLY kitchen the day we closed on the house:

And the kitchen as of today (after replacing the sink, faucet, lights, hardware, counter top, screen door, exterior door, adding a cabinet, installed a new dishwasher, painting the walls ... twice ... and painting all the cabinets)
The cabinet Jim installed.Still to do is put up crown molding, base molding and a tile backsplash.

Saving money

Every day when Jim gets home from work he empties his pockets, which includes change. Elijah has begun taking the change and putting it in his bank. So far he's filled up 1 bank and is now working on filling up his Carnival cruise bank.

Thanksgiving weekend

Some pictures from Thanksgiving weekend in Williamsport. We spent Thanksgiving day traveling then enjoying dinner with the Lauchle side. Friday we celebrated Sierra's 5th birthday and Saturday we headed home in the evening.

Just like mommy and daddy

Baby #2 Update

Tonight I had the first ultrasound for baby #2. Everything is looking great. The heartbeat was a strong 171 and the little peanut is measuring right on time. When you're looking at the sonogram the head is to the right.

So far the pregnancy is going pretty good despite having morning sickness at least once a day. But it's all worth it in the end. :)

Mommy's little helper

Elijah and I had fun in the kitchen this morning making a dessert for tomorrow.
